Lace City have a proud tradition of quartet singing. In the 2008, Region 31 Sweet Adelines quartet contest, our four competiting quartets all placed in the top six in a field of 22 competitors. They are:

Storm - 2008, 2nd place medalists
Breakthrough - 2008, 3rd place medalists
UpBeat - 2008, 5th place medalists
Blush - 2008 - 6th place

We are also incredibly proud to have one quarter share in St Louis based quartet Luminous who placed 2nd in Region 5's contest. A number of other quartets are waiting in the wings for their chance to take to the stage.

The members of Storm are no strangers to barbershop. Alyson Chaney, Michelle Walker and Laura Ritchie are all former members of 4 times regional champion quartet Soundbites, whilst Mel Cook has sung in various quartet line-ups, including the Young Women in Harmony Quartet Pure Innocence. We wish them the best of luck in Hawaii!

Breakthrough - 2008 Region 31 3rd Place Quartet In their second regional contest, this young and vibrant quartet were thrilled to win the most improved quartet award in addition to winning their first medal! Luminous 2007 Sweet Adelines International Rising Star Quartet Champions & 2008 Region 5 2nd place Quartet
Ellie Mills from Lace City Singers sings bass in this champion quartet based in St. Louis Missouri. Ellie, Casey, Lauren and Emma started singing together in January 2007 whilst Ellie was living in St. Louis.
